The Folly of Christian Counselling

One of the fruits of Christian counselling scene is the emergence over the last three decades, of a new therapeutic gospel, that aims to meet the psychological needs the congregation. The therapeutic gospel aims to make its adherents feel loved, significant, and entertained. It is an inoffensive gospel that seldom, if ever, mentions sin and judgment for fear of making the message appear unattractive, and even worse, because to do so makes people feel guilty.
